57% French Creek Vineyard  |  29% Upland Vineyard | 14% Heron Bluff Vineyard

Intended to be the “business card” for Ocelli Cellars, our Columbia Valley bottling is always a blend of the vineyards we work with. As with all of our red wine, we utilize 50% whole cluster fermentation and age the wine in neutral French oak barrels for 18 months before bottling. For the 2022 vintage, we blended 4 barrels of French Creek Grenache with 2 barrels of Upland Grenache, 1 barrel of Heron Bluff Grenache, which is a new vineyard for us in the 2022 vintage.

Tasting Notes:  The 2022 Columbia Valley starts with a nose full of red fruit that transitions to a brambly berry center on the palate.  Wispy aromas of herbs de Provence mingle with touches of baking spice on the nose, and carry through the finish.  

With a little bit of time in the glass, it evolves and shows subtle floral qualities complemented by a savory note intermingled with resiny rosemary.  A compelling wine now in its youth, this will be a fun one to watch evolve in the coming months and years.
