2014 Columbia Valley

100% Grenache:

50% Angiolina Farms  |  50% Upland Vineyard

The 2014 vintage of our Columbia Valley Grenache brings two great vineyards together seamlessly, combining the grace and richness of Upland Vineyard with the focus and brightness of Angiolina Farms. Together, these two vineyards create a wine of distinction that drinks beautifully now but will also reward you with a few more years in the cellar.

Tasting Notes:  This wine jumps from the glass with aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, and a little smoky barbeque element inter-twined. The palate is expansive and velvety with fine tannins and elements of ripe summer berries, pink and white peppercorn, and roasted sweet peppers. The finish is elegant and gently lingers, until you need another sip!

Review of Washington Wines, 19/20 points

Composed of 50% Angolina Farms and 50% Upland Vineyard Grenache, this shows a brick red color and a rich nose of wild fruits – fraises de bois, cranberries, and red currants – with scents of wild roses, mulberry, tobacco, brambles, red pepper and spiced oriental incense. The medium bodied flavors are mouth filling, with notes of licorice, cocoa powder, medium roast coffee and earth. The chewy textured back reveals sensations of gently pressed fruits, toasted nuts, fraise and cassis liqueurs, kidskin and graphite, all culminating in a lingering, slightly grainy, soft tannin finish that is lifted by balanced fruit acids
